Description: A historic look back at industry and its workers. Made from solid brass, these tags were the main "check and balance" and “in-out” system companies used to keep track of their workers, tools, and equipment.

Companies include: Railroads, Water Plants, Auto Factories, Air Fields and many more. Check tags became obsolete as technology advanced and more sophisticated methods of tracking were employed.

Circa 1900 to 1950's.

Brass Check Tags range in size from 3/4" to 2" and are hung on an 18" gold fill chain accenting the patina of the tag.
